Azmat Ullah is a traditional master craftsman in Mughal art pottery which is also commonly known as Blue Pottery. It is said that his forefathers migrated from Afghanistan and brought this royal pottery to India with them. The 400 years art form is inherited from one generation to the other. The beautiful designs made on pottery are all hand made by the artisans. Azmat Ullah has passed on his ancestral profession as his legacy to his son Mueenul, who has glorified its name. Azmat Ullah has a group of 30 rural artisans and have created employment opportunities for them. Such initiatives boost to keep this traditional vibrant craft alive.
